The Library of Congress presents the Gershwin Prize for popular song to musician Stevie Wonder. This is the second Gershwin prize given out: the first was given to Paul Simon in 2007 (Paul Simon is here to honor Stevie Wonder, and Stevie was at the ceremony to honor Paul. Paul Simon also inducted Stevie into the Rock & Roll Hall Of Fame). The 
ceremony was held at the White House largely in part to Stevie's involvement in the campaign of President Barack Obama. 

Stevie has several members of his own band with him, as well as Rickey Minor. He is the band leader on American Idol, Don't Forget The Lyrics, and has done work with other artists as well. 

The show contained a performance of "You & I" by Martina McBride which I have removed to comply with Dime's NAB list. It was after India.Arie's performance. Luckily, the transition from artist to artist was similar throughout the show so the edit is almost unoticeable.
