COMMENT

A very enjoyable release from Ladybird. These have both been circulating for a long time now, and from what I can see there is no difference in quality between this footage and the previously circulating releases - maybe the odd slight edit, but nothing major. The 'Ryde Dyvine' broadcast is certainly (ahem) interesting viewing - not least to see Carmen humping the floor or Prince climbing out of the sun-roof of his car sucking on a lollipop. A very rare, unusual live performance of 'I Wanna Melt With U' complete with a great guitar solo at the end make this show watchable. The 'Love 4 One Another' broadcast is much better. Forget the laughable storyline and Prince's choice of snowboots and visor for 'Rock N Roll Is Alive' and enjoy the performance - pure class. As with most other Ladybird releases the packaging has it's fair share of misleading info. 'Damn U' is listed as 'Dawn U' (yup, they repeated the same mistake on the earlier 'ROYAL VISIONS 4' release), and they state that the footage is sourced from the Japanese laser disc.....it isn't. There never has been a laser disc release of either these broadcasts. Ladybird's quality control department let them down........again!!!!
