Jazz critic and impresario Joachim-Ernst Berendt had his own show "Jazz gehoert und gesehen" (Jazz heard and seen) on German TV from 1954 to 1984. 
In 1996 he was given the opportunity to re-broadcast some of these shows under the title "Jazz wiedergehoert und wiedergesehen" (Jazz re-heard and re-seen). My VCR source is a recording of this re-broadcast. 
You will see the old Joachim-Ernst Berendt of 1996 introducing the young Joachim-Ernst Berendt of 1965, who then introduces the musicians of the "Piano Workshop".
