Medeski, Martin, and Wood April 4th, 2008 Cully, Switzerland @ Cully Jazzfestival SBD > hotbird sat (MPEG1 Layer 2/256 kbps) > nexus-s > hdd > nero wave editor > flac > CDR 01. Big Time > Improv (possibly a new tuned titled "Head Against The Wall") 25:55 02. "Tootie Pa Is The Thing" (possibly titled "Sweet Pea Dreams") 09:45 03. "Guitar Toms Melodica" (possibly titled Muchas Gracias) 12:17 04. Back and Forth 15:00 05. Cat Creeps > New Planet (fades out) 09:35 So... was listening to this show earlier today and I think the anouncer gives song titles for just about all of the tracks. It sounds like he's speaking French although I'm not certain. Anyway, he definitley calls out Big Time, Back & Forth, and Cat Creeps. Now... the included text file lists Tootie Ma... but I think that's actually the new tune that's making the rounds as "Tootie Pa is the Thing." Interstingly, I think the anouncer calls it "Sweet Pea Dreams". Also... "Guitar Toms Melodica" seems to get the title "Muchos Gracias" which seems odd. Maybe I don't have that quite right. Reminds me of Billy thanking the crowd at the end of many a show. Actually it was this switch from French to English to Spanish that first caught my ear and made me listen closer to the anouncer. One last note is that he seems to give the improv out of Big Time the title "Head Against the Wall." Maybe someone with better French skills than I can confirm.
