Hip Hop 101 > Melting Pot (reprise outro) comments from Dan, The Roots' manager: i can't say how many times ive seen the roots (100?) but for me, that was top 5 show. the sound was kickin and just seemed like the band was feeling the vibe out there in the desert and really playing it up for the audience. plus there were plenty of new tricks that even had me being like "oh shit". for sure though, the sound was right on. everybody who witnessed the set was blown. comments from me: one of the absolute best audience recordings i've EVER HEARD. you could mistake this for a perfectly produced and mixed SBD + audience mix, pre-broadcast or something.. it's that good!
