Sun Ra 9-8-72 Ann Arbor, MI @ Ann Arbor Blues & Jazz Fest SBD > ? > CDR 1. Enlightenment > Love In Outer Space, Space Is The Place Discipline 27-11 > What Planet Is This > Life Is Splendid > Immeasurable, Watusi, Outerspaceways Incorporated ------------- 12-25-76 Sun Ra recites his peotry on WXPN: 2. WXPN - Pt.1 3. WXPN - Pt.2 Saturn 999 45 RPM Single (only one copy in existence): 4. A Blue One 5. Orbitration in Blue 1st: Sun recites his poetry at WXPN, the date on my cassette copy is 12/25/76. Many people have conjectured that this recording is the source of the rumor of the existence of a Saturn LP called "Celebrations for Dial Tunes." It's very doubtful that LP exists unless some copies were pressed privately. It's about 31 minutes, cut in half for easier use Lineage: Cassette from trade > 32bit .wav file (using CoolEditPro1.1) > EQ (boost some upper-mid frequencies) > convert to 16 bit > flac level 8. 2nd: The single rarest Saturn "issue" known to actually exist. Saturn 999: A Blue One / Orbitration in Blue - 45 RPM single Both sides feature Pat Patrick. 7 years ago I was did a transfer to DAT of this record, the only known copy (though not mine), on my turntable. I have a 1st generation cassette dub of this transfer and this is my source. Lineage: cassette > 32bit .wav file (using CoolEditPro1.1) > noise reduction of only the most audible and problematic pops > > convert to 16 bit > flac level-8. Though the last two were, in a sense, released, I hope that the facts that 1) only one copy survives, 2) that this never made it onto the official Singles reissues, 3) that Evidence is no longer allowed to issue Ra material and no-body else has been granted a similar contract, and 4) that this will probably NEVER see official release beyond that one copy but has been circulating privately for 7 years; will cause the moderators to give this a pass and allow it. Thanks! Happy Holidays! wolfie16
