Knead February 2nd, 2003 Tokyo, Japan @ Yanvera Club Haino, Keiji - guitar, vocal, etc. Yoshida, Tatsuya - drums, etc. Sasaki, Hisashi - bass, etc. Knead, a collaboration bewteen Hanio Keiji and the Yoshida Tatsuya/Sasaki Hisashi duo known as Ruins, existed for around 5 years, with sporadic live performances and at least one studio document, 2002's self titled platter on the Japanese PSF Records label. This soundboard recording captures one of the final Knead live performances... at times noisy and spastic, at others droney and surreal. After Sasaki Hisahi left Ruins in 2003, Haino and Yoshida began performing in a similarly directed sonic attack with bassist Nasuno Mitsuru, and this trio released one CD in 2004 ("Live At Cafe Independants 23 January 2004" on the Cafe Independants Label, which also featured an appearance on a portion of the recording by turntable duo Busratch). In 2005, the Hanio/Yoshida/Nasuno trio began performing under the name Sanhedrin.
