HOUSEQUAKE- TIME 2 GET FUNKY Comments: This is MUST HAVE!!! With the mandatory EX quality level from the Sabotage team, here U have, in all its magnificence, the best aftershow on the entire 2002 tour. Right after his excellent concert at Le Zénith, Paris, France [yesterday's seed], Prince returned to Le Bataclan - where he had previously played in 1994 and 1999 - and put on this extraordinary 2&1/2hrs. performance. The aftershow is easily the best on the whole One Nite Alone Tour, beating previous performances in London and Copenhagen. The set opens with an instrumental jam before Prince goes into guitar-frenzy mood, setting the house on fire with blistering renditions of "Bambi", Led Zeppelin's "Whole Lotta Love" and "Family Name". Then the unforgettable gems are played: "Something In The Water", "The Question Of U", "She's Always In My Hair", even "Shake!". You'd think he'd run out of songs? Wrongo! Our beloved Minnesotan proceeds with some well-crafted funk bombs, taking over the bass himself: "777-9311", "Hair", "Brickhouse", "Skintight" and most unbelievable, The Time's "Cool"! That sequence alone is worth your download, and I shall never forget him thumping the strings on his bass, it was super funky and I had waited for him to do this again since the 1995 aftershows he'd done during the short European tour for "The Gold Experience". Prince and the band cap the long night with additional renditions of "All The Critics Love U In NY" and the rarely performed "Dolphin", amongst others.
