The tradition indeed dates back over a hundred years. As part of the tradition, they have created a series of chants accompanied by tambourine and drum. Some believe the chants and rhythms are based on African traditions that the slaves brought with them and passed down. It's unlike anything you've ever seen (or heard). And this ain't no joke - these guys are dead serious.)
