Certain tracks on the Jaylib CD were not considered for the final album either because they were rejected by the producers or the beats were spoken for by other artists. Both of the CDs were compiled by Madlib in November 2002 to listen to on a trip to Brazil for the Red Bull Music Academy. The bootleg titles were not made up by Madlib or any of the other artists associated with the music.
