Jeff Parker Trio (Nori Tanaka - d, Jason Ajemian - b) 8-10-04 Chicago, IL @ Puck's outdoor Patio -The Museum of Contemporary Arts- Sony digital ECM-Ms907 electret condenser microphone > Sony MZN707 MD > soundblaster soundcard (analog) > CDR from set one: one 15:38 two 10:14 from set two: three 6:03 four 13:58 five 8:47 Notes: No editing was done on this at all, for I wanted to keep all the outdoor city noizes in the background which can be heard inbetween tracks at various points. Do note that this was not the full show. I started recording during what was most likely the first 2 songs and being as far away from where they were playing I figured it wouldn't come out too well, especially after some asshole decided to make a phone call five feet from the microphone. Before the next song they did, I asked Mr. Parker if I could set the microphone on the ground in front of them, which amazingly worked out quite well. Nori's drums are in the left channel, Jason's bass is in the center, and Jeff's guitar is mainly in the right channel. So the mic was on the ground about 7 feet in front of their amps proped up at a 45 degree angle. Track one and two are from the first set and tracks three through five are from the 2nd set. Note that track three was slowly faded in because I started recording late. I was the only taper for this performance.
