An ash cloud from a volcano in Iceland forced widespread flight cancellations across Europe (the ash is bad for jet engines). Sharon Jones and the Dap-Kings, which played April 15 at the Paradiso in Amsterdam, was grounded. 

Enter the All Star Funk Jam, a swampy extravaganza featuring members of Dumpstaphunk and The Funky Meters -- acts that were to bracket the set by Sharon -- and special guests: Cody and Luther Dickinson, Oteil and Kofi Burbridge, JoJo Herman, Bobby Lee Rodgers, Matt Grondin. 

The 53-minute jam under the leafy canopy of the Mushroom Stage represents the improvisational, collaborative effort that is the Wanee Music Festival. Enjoy. -- vwmule
