Both of us desperately wanted to do a Donny Hathaway release but we had no material and no sources for any material. My next "big one" now that the Sly was out of the way, was an Ike & Tina Turner release. But so far I only had 2 or 3 tracks for that one. Another for me was to do the ultimate Otis Redding release. Big P in turn wanted to do a Curtis Mayfield as his "dream release" - everything from the track selection to the artwork. I told him to go for it and in 2 weeks I received the master for this one and an email with the completed artwork. I changed nothing whatsoever as it was perfect the way it was. This one was 100% Big P's work. Personally I think it was a beautiful tribute to Curtis that nobody in their right mind could ever find fault with. -- durian1
