"Old vs. New" debate Okay, for years I've had this tape that I just transferred to CD-R. A Canadian radio station had a show called "Black Sabbath - Old vs. Nw" which basically pitted Ozzy against Dio, complete with interviews with both Oz and RJD, as well as a few callers voicing his ior her opinion (which Ozzy won the majority vote). Now, let me first say I enjoy RJD and his time with Elf, Rainbow, Sabbath, etc., but my hatred for the man began after hearing this show years ago. I'm 33, I've been a Sabbath fan since 1977, and I'm loyal to Ozzy in that regard. Again, that doesn't mean I don't hail the Dio-era releases. However, after hearing how gentlemanly Ozzy was (which is mostly always the case) in his remarks towards the new Sabbath, my piss meter went haywire to hear Dio berate and call Ozzy the most incredibly ignorant things in the book. His lack of class made me hate him, if not his music. Anyway, sorry for the long explanation, but I've decided to torrent this, warts and all, so that Sabbath fans can hear a true piece of metal history that was lucky enough to have been recorded. Now for the technicals... This is two copies from the master (or so I was told), and there is a bit of tape hiss to it, but it doesn't detract from the enjoyment level of the recording. It's about 16 mins long and I've left it as one long track. I hope you all enjoy this, and feel free to leave comments.
