The crowd around me for the most part was very well behaved. There was this very nice gentleman next to me on my right side who did clap a little loud, but who could blame him! This was Björk and it was apparent she was missed in this town. So I had a little more work to do on post production minimizing the clapping on the right channel :) I just purchased a new Microtracker 24/96 Professional Digital Recorder and an SP-Microtrack Mic Power a few days before the show. This was the first show I used it on so I was a bit nervous checking levels frequently. The Microtracker is a solid state recorder & records to compact flash memory cards. What does that mean? It means no moving parts! No moving parts = no recorder noise = an incredible recording! Soundprofessionals did not have the SP-Mic power unit I wanted but had another item with mics in it and a power switch. I had to take that item to power my mics. The item I want which is just a Mic Power module for the Microtracker is being made for me so I will have it for the next show I record. How it works: The built in Mics are cancelled when you plug in your external mics. It takes the external mics, applies 12 volts of dc power & routes the signal through the balanced 1/4 TRS inputs on the Microtracker. My new power unit will not have built in Mics or a power switch therefore removing this point of interference from the equation :) Issues: While checking levels, the power switch created a dropout of the right channel which I recovered from. Trak 111 - Army of Me - 00:27 to 00:30 - left channel cloned over right channel due to right channel dropout Trak 114 - Wanderlust - 03:48 to 04:01 & 04:10 t0 04:11 - left channel cloned over right channel due to right channel dropout
