The recording is in mono. Transferred from original master tape to miniDisc, then to CDR. This tape, while in great quality, came in the wrong speed and needed some work before it was listenable. Volume, speed and pitch corrected in London on Sept. 10- 12, 2005, using CoolEdit Pro 2.0. Some additional remastering, including fade-in and fade-outs at start and end of the disc, were done. Noise or hiss reduction has not been performed, in order to best preserve the atmosphere and feel of the original tape, which this can sometimes take away. The video portions of these TV broadcasts are not known to have survived. ------------------ BOB DYLAN - BBC In Concert 1965. This is a major upgrade to any recording circulating earlier. If you like acoustic Dylan, I highly recommend this. This is among his last full-acoustic performances before he "went electric" later in 1965. Although the sound is excellent, it's not perfect. There is some fairly minor distortion on some songs. But this is a true line recording -- all earlier tapes originated from a recording made by holding a microphone in front of a TV speaker. If you have the "At the Beeb" boot on the Main Stream label, that one's quite good, but this one is better.
